Concrete is a common material used in industry factory floors. With the foundation made out of concrete, adding in another layer of material often isn’t necessary. However, concrete flooring as-is really isn’t that attractive or desirable. It is hard and rough, and while it does prevent some slipping, it doesn’t have much of a professional look to it. That is exactly why you need to look at industrial floor coatings. From preventing moisture from entering into the open pores on concrete to adding in a beautiful finish, industrial floor coatings will take the look of your plant to the next level.
Some available floor options available to you and your business include:
It is rather amazing how fantastic concrete can look just with some polishing. It makes the concrete look like an entirely new material. Why pay more for an expensive granite or marble flooring when you can just polish your concrete? This way, if you have a welcome area where you greet clients, utilize the polished concrete look.
Epoxy flooring offers in a protective barrier that is coated and applied to the top of the concrete. There are different epoxy color options available, ranging from clear to a brilliant red. This is desirable as it can prevent chemicals and other liquids from staining the floor easily, as this epoxy resin washes off and does not absorb the color of the spill.
With decorative flooring, areas can be painted a different color and then possibly combined with a polishing in order to bring out a beautiful luster in the flooring.
Chip and Broadcast Epoxy Flooring
This is done in conjunction with the epoxy material. Small pieces of stone, cement, shells and other items are added to the epoxy. It adds some more color to the epoxy and also looks good inside of a walkway or other area of the building, should you want the protective surface of epoxy but want a professional look.
Urethane offers a reflective surface to the cement that looks great but doesn’t have the same thickness or protective elements of epoxy.
